Benjamin Solis joined the Siegmund Landscape Supply team in September 2022. Ben began working at a local cannery during the summers while he was still in high school. After graduation, he stayed with the company full time for 16 years. Upon leaving the cannery, Ben got a job producing firewood for retail stores. When the company closed three years later, he discovered that Siegmund Landscape was hiring. His experience in running equipment and processing firewood made him the perfect fit for the Barkyard. Their willingness to work around his schedule and take a chance on him made the Barkyard the perfect fit for Ben.
Born and raised in Oregon, Ben was introduced to baseball at a young age and fell in love with the sport immediately, playing all the way into high school. Family get-togethers were also a big deal when Ben was growing up. The family gathered often, either at each other’s houses or at local parks. These days, Ben’s time away from work is mostly dedicated to being with his grandfather, for whom he is a caregiver. The pair especially enjoys watching professional baseball games on TV together. During the off-season, Ben loves going for day drives and simply relaxing.
